Job Description: Program Director
The Wellness Community provides hope, education and support to people with cancer and their loved ones. Through professionally-led support groups, informational workshops and mind/body classes, people affected by cancer learn vital skills to improve the quality of their lives and make them better partners with their medical professionals. All programs and services are provided free of charge and soon will be delivered in a unique, state-of-the-art facility that will be an international prototype. TWC is affiliated with the largest professionally- led network of cancer support worldwide and will soon undergo a dramatic name change.
THE POSITION
The Program Director is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining statistical and qualitative analysis of TWC programs, hiring, terminating and/or evaluating employees and sub-contractors providing programs, and ensuring all programs adhere to the therapeutic policies, procedures and guidelines established by TWC-SWFL and TWC-National.
The Program Director is responsible for:
-developing, implementing, and analyzing TWC programming with input from the President & CEO and within the annual budget guidelines
-hiring, terminating and/or evaluating employees and sub-contractors providing programs
-ensuring all programs adhere to the therapeutic policies, procedures and guidelines established by TWC-SWFL and TWC-National
-stimulating program growth consistent with the annual plan of TWC-SWFL
-supervise the planning and distribution of bi-monthly program calendar
-facilitate at least one weekly therapeutic support group per week according to the TWC Program Model
-conducts data collection and makes monthly statistical reports on Program utilization as necessary per TWC-National policies, TWC-SWFL strategic plan, and as directed by the President and CEO
-attends regional and national conferences as scheduled.
-works with staff and participants to create and maintain the sense of community
The successful candidate will possess:
Program Director: Masters or PhD in Psychology, Social Work or related field.
Must be licensed to practice as a clinician in state of Florida
Prior work experience with people affected by cancer* a must
Minimum 3 -5 years clinical and program management experience
Skills required: supervisory, organizational and managerial
a. excellent program analysis ability, both quantitative and qualitative;
b. ability to interface with wide variety of people, including cancer patients, medical
professionals, community based organizations, Board members, donors & volunteers;
c. ability to hire, evaluate and manage clinical staff & instructors
Reports to CEO
Salary Range $55,000.00 – $65,000.00**Negotiable based on Qualifications and experience
