FSOSW net-ucation lesson 1: username, password, posting questions
I’ve gotten a few requests on some info that probably should have gone out as part of the original email (hence the title of this email is ‘net-ucation’ because I’m going through a learning curve as well!).
Username questions:
- Your username is the name you used when you signed up for the website.
- If you forgot your username, contact me and I’ll let you know what it is.
Password questions:
- Your password should have been emailed to you at the address you used when you signed up. If it got lost in cyberspace, contact me and I can get you a new one.
- If you want to change the password to something easier to remember than the automatically generated gobbledygook, log in to the website:

- Click ‘profile’ on the left side of the dashboard screen
- Scroll to the bottom and input your new password.
Posting questions:
- Return to the ‘dashboard’ from the main site by hitting the “site admin” link on the “home” page.
- To post information, click “add new” under the posts column on the left side of the dashboard.
- Make sure you select a category for your post to appear under in the categories box on the right side of the “new post” screen.
- Hit the ‘publish’ button on the top right side.
