B. What an agency/hospital needs to include in their ‘Cultural Sensitivity’ programs, as well as the limitations agencies/hospitals encounter.
C. Awareness of the community’s needs for services and advocate for the needs of that community.

 Beginning Monday, February 15, 2010

Aventura Comprehensive Cancer Center (ACCC) and The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society have partnered to conduct a monthly support group for: leukemia, lymphoma and multiple myeloma patients and their caregivers.  The professional facilitators from ACCC will be Phil Fusca, MSW, Cancer Care Navigator, and Michelle Zimmerman, RN, Charge Nurse – Med/Surg.

 

This free group will address specific issues related to a blood cancer diagnosis and will provide an opportunity for attendees to discuss: concerns, anxieties, feelings related to illness & treatment, and other related issues.
